The second edition of the Dimapur Music Festival 2019 or otherwise ‘The Happy Fest’ kicked off with high spirit as the bands mesmerised the cheering crowd with their originals.
The two-day music festival is being organised by LiveNow Events and is held at Urban Haat, Supermarket in Dimapur.
Speaking to Eastern Mirror, a 25-year-old Naga boy who was amongst the crowd said, “we need to encourage, support and help our local bands in whatever ways we can.”
While another person from the crowd added that, “the government must come up with a certain project in order to give the local bands more platforms.”
Vocalist of The Paradigm Shift told Eastern Mirror that, ‘it was a special night for the band as it was the first time we performed at our home town.’ ‘The love and response from the fans is overwhelming,’ he added.
The vocalist further appealed to the fans to support, help and promote the local bands.
The Paradigm Shift, Since 90’s, Jam Tree and Avancer, Papersky, Chicken Head and Moko Koza, DJ Ina and a band from Christian Higher Sec. School performed on the first night.
