
Dimapur, July 25 (EMN): A charitable ward at Zunheboto District Hospital was inaugurated by Z Kasheto Yepthomi, Class-I contractor and former candidate from Ghaspani-I assembly constituency, on July 24.
A DIPR report stated that Round Table India Trust and Association of 41 Clubs in India under One More Breath Charity Project donated hospital beds and equipment worth more than INR 40 lakh. Kasheto Yepthomi, the brain behind the charitable ward, was the guest of honour.
The project was executed by 41 ER Samir Jain, Vice Chairman of 41 India Area 5; Delhi Amigos Round Table 311, HT Pankaj Agarwal; and Progressive Round Table 238 Guwahati, TR Nitesh Bharech.
Speaking at the programme, the deputy commissioner of Zunheboto, Peter Lichamo, acknowledged 41 Clubs of India and Round Table India Trust (under One More Breath Project) for their generosity in donating the immediate needs in time of pandemic such like oxygen concentrators, beds and other medical equipments to District Hospital Zunheboto. He also lauded Z Kasheto Yepthomi, who took keen interest in making the goods available.
While highlighting the plight of District Hospital Zunheboto, he urged them to continue helping the district in the future. He also encouraged the doctors, nurses and medical staff on the importance of judiciously utilising the goods provided to the hospital.
He further urged the medical superintendent and his colleagues to maintain an inventory register to ensure good use of the facilities available in the hospital as well as to know the shortage of other items.
TR Nitesh Bharech, while highlighting the project, stated that the vision of One More Breath Project aims at providing 3000 beds in hospitals, oxygen concentrators etc. across the country and transforming unused ward space to useful care centres in Nagaland Hospitals. He further requested the hospital authorities to make good use of the facilities for the benefit of the people.
Also speaking at the programme, Kasheto Yepthomi informed that 41 Clubs of India and RTI is an NGO spread across India with offices in Chennai and Delhi while its funding was purely private for charitable works across India.
Kasheto also spoke on the importance of taking the vaccination and encouraged the gathering to have confidence in the doctors and nurses. Also reminding on the impending third wave, he asked the gathering to stay prepared.
He further lauded the DC Zunheboto, CMO and staff, Sumi Hoho, Dr. Aron and Dr. Shikato, who have been instrumental in bringing the project to the district.
Representatives from apex Sumi organisations, CMO Zunheboto, MS Zunheboto and other staff from the hospital attended the inaugural function.
