The first meeting of the sub-divisional departmental coordination forum (SDDCF) of Changtongya sub-division, under Mokokchung district, for the year 2016 was conducted on April 12 in Changtongya.
Chumlamo Humtsoe, the chairman of the forum, also the area’s sub-divisional officer (civil), encouraged all the head of offices under Changtongya sub-division to cooperate, and to maintain the tradition of coordination. As a responsible government servant, he said, government officials are bound to serve the people.
The chairman also informed the board members that the Election Commission of India had directed that the national electoral roll purification for 2016 include enrolment of all eligible citizens. Multiple entries, deceased, or names of relocated voters are also to be removed; errors correcte; correction of wrong photographs for clean electoral rolls.
The SDO also reminded the area’s population to chain or restrain their pet dogs from going outside from 8 am till 6 pm. The order to shoot at stray dogs, and a fine of Rs. 500, has not been revoked till date, Humtsoe said.
