Mokokchung, Jan. 13 (EMN): The 4th conference cum sports meet of Changki Kaketsüri Longjem (CKL) held in Changki village, some 50 kilometres away from Mokokchung town, culminated on high note.
The valedictory programme was graced by Kevithüto Sophie, additional inspector general of police (provisioning), PHQ, Kohima, as the special invitee on January 11 evening.
Appreciating the Changki students’ union for coming up with a befitting theme “Rediscover our identity,” the special invitee asserted that culture and identity are like two sides of the same coin. He added that they are very closely related although they seem different.
In this connection, Sophie called upon the students to preserve and promote the rich cultural heritage of the forefathers which define one’s own identity. He further appealed the students to speak and learn their mother-tongue because the disappearance of mother tongue would be the starting point of losing one’s identity.
The valedictory programme was followed by Changki night, where Imlibenla Wati, former Miss Nagaland 2012, Miss India Elite 2015, and Miss Super Talent World runners-up 2016, made a special appearance.
