Dimapur, August 23 (EMN): Changki and Mekokla village have resolved to bury all past differences and continue with its aged old relationship as well as promote unity and co-operation on all issues concerning the two villages.
The resolution to this effect was taken in a joint co-ordination meeting between Changki village council and Mekokla village council on August 22 at Orija Salang Changki chaired by Arem Aonok, chairman of Changki village council.
As requested by the Mekokla village council, the Changki council decided to extend all possible help and co-operation towards restoration of Changki-Mekokla road.
In order to address all issues concerning the two villages a “Joint Co-ordination Committee” was formed with Arem Aonok as convenor, L Manthungo Kikon as secretary, along with Imtinochet, Chentiraba and Nyamo Z Yanthan as members.
The house further empowered the Joint Co-ordination Committee to formulate programmes on any developmental activities in consultation with the two village council.
The chairman of Mekokla village council presented traditional Lotha scarf to all the GBs of Changki village council as a token of goodwill gesture.
