Dimapur, Jan. 18 (EMN): Chang Gazetted Officers’ Association (CGOA) conducted its 28th general session on January 15 in Waoshu village in Tuensang district.
A press note from the association informed that H Chuba Chang, former minister, congratulated the Chang community for success of the recently concluded Poanglüm Mini Hornbill Festival. He conveyed that the Chang people, in the recent years, have chosen the path of advancement in lifestyle and in conduct.
President of Chang Khulei Setshang (CKS), Nungsanglemba also spoke on the occasion, during which he expressed gratitude to the CKS for their contribution for the success of the recently concluded Poanglüm event and other activities of the community.
The note mentioned that the interaction session was participated by the village council members, students, church members, and citizens union. During the session, each group shared about their achievements and the problems confronting their progress educationally and economically with productive feedbacks from the association.
The evening session was graced by Lotham Chang, director of employment, craftsman and skill development, and Chingmak Chang, CCSU president. Chingmak proposed the vote of thanks and presented mementos to all the officers who retired in 2018.
The message was delivered by L Ongmang, pastor of Yungkük Baptist Lashong. Ongmang exhorted the officers to fear God irrespective of different official duties and urged the gathering to stay strong and truthful in the Lord.
On January 16, CGOA team climbed Mt. Ngakushon Mountain, one of the highest mountain peaks under the Chang jurisdiction.
