DIMAPUR — The Chakhroma Youth Organisation (CYO) has condemned the recent incident where a non-local verbally assaulted a Naga citizen at the Naga Shopping Arcade (Supermarket) area in Dimapur.
In a condemnation note, the CYO stated that such acts of aggression and disrespect towards the indigenous people of Nagaland are totally unacceptable and will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
“We are deeply saddened and outraged by these acts, which go against the very values of peace and respect that we all hold dear,” the organisation stated.
“The CYO further unequivocally state that we stand in absolute solidarity with the Western Sumi Youth Front (WSYF) for taking a firm and concrete action by shutting down the shop belonging to the offender. This decisive step reflects the collective resolve to protect the dignity, safety, and rights of the Naga people.”
