Dimapur, April 14 (EMN): The Chakhroma Public Organisation (CPO) has issued an ‘open letter’ to the general manager of ECI Engineering and Construction Company Ramky Joint Venture in regard to the construction of four lane project in Chakhroma area, between Dimapur and Piphema.
The letter from the CPO on Saturday stated that the negligence on the part of Ramky had created health hazards during the past few months. The organization stated that digging had slowed for some time that only a few excavators could be seen in the sector where earthwork is yet to be undertaken, between Patkai bridge and new Chumukedima.
In the letter the CPO requested the company to expedite digging before the rains set in. They said that digging earth during the rainy season will put travellers to suffering besides the risk of mud slides. If such road blockades take place because of earth work the public would stop the work for the entire rainy season, they stated.
The CPO has expressed hope that the ‘time-bound project’ would be completed within the stipulated time.
