Dimapur, Dec. 19 (EMN): Chakhesang community residing in Kohima has announced to observed combined Christmas on December 25 at NBCC convention centre at 10 am on the theme “He must increase but I must decrease” (John 3:30).
Rev. Dr. Vevo Phesao, senior pastor of Chakhesang Baptist Church Ministers’ Hill, Kohima, (CBCMHK) would be the speaker of the combined celebration. Organisers informed that Rev. Dr. Kevekhalo Lasuh, pastor of Chakhesang Baptist Church, Kitsubozuo (CBCK) would lead the service, while Vesato Theluo would be the cantor and Akhro-ü Veswüh would be the pianist.
Rev. Dr. Thupu-o Nyekha would invoke God’s blessing, while Kewezü G Kenye would deliver greetings, while Rev. Zhowhuyi Nyekha would pray for the offering, and Rev. Neiko Mero and Vesatso Tetseo would read the bible passage from OT and NT respectively. CBCMHK, CCRC Upper PWD, KCBCK, CBCK, CCRCK, CLCAG members would present special songs while Rev. Khrotso Mero, senior pastor of CBCK, would pronounced the closing prayer.
Stating that combined Christmas feast would be held at NBCC convention centre premises and NSF Solidarity Park areas, the feast committee has appealed the entire citizens of the Chakhesang in Kohima to be part of the celebration.
It further informed that the youth department would observe a combined youth Christmas carol on December 23 at Chakhesang Christian Revival Church, Upper PWD, at 3 pm. All the youth are asked to participate in the programme.
