Dimapur, April 9 (EMN): Chakhesang Youth Front (CYF), on April 5 and 6, conducted surprise checking in all the Chakhesang inhabited areas of Phek district against various activities banned by the CPO such as fishing, hunting, burning of forests, collection of medicinal plants and illegal import of pigs.
CYF, in a press release issued by its president Lhuvesayi Lohe and the general secretary Medovelo Sono, have appreciated the subordinate youth bodies for the support and cooperation in implementing the ban orders passed by the CPO.
CYF also resolved to ban the use of air guns within its jurisdiction and warned that defaulters would be fined with a sum of INR 5000.
Meanwhile, CYF has accepted the apology letter from the NPF 17 Chizami assembly constituency dated 29/03/2019 for violation of the ban order in fishing and hunting during the meeting of its office bearers from March 21 to 23 at Sarula River and subsequent cancellation of those activities, which was verified by the youth and village council of Sumi village.
CYF further informed that its 11th general conference would be held on December 12 and 13 in Bade village, Dimapur. It requested all the subordinate youth bodies to be prepared for the same.
