Dimapur, Feb. 2 (EMN): The Chakhesang Wrestling Association (CWA) is all set to conduct its 26th wrestling meet from Feb. 8 to 9 at Chetheba town. This was stated in a press note.
Nagaland home minister Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu will be the chief guest while Thepuphi Kapuh, PS to advisor Social Welfare, Govt. of Nagaland will be the guest of honour.
The champion will fetch a cash prize of INR 1.50 lakh while the runner-up will get INR 1 lakh. The 3rd and 4th place winner will receive INR 80,000 and 50,000.
Categories for freestyle (men) will include; 57, 65, 74, 89 and 97 kg. In respect of freestyle (Women), it will be 50, 55, 65, 69 and 72 kg.
Weight measurement for freestyle of all categories will take place on Feb. 7 at 2 pm.
The inaugural function will start from 8:30 am.
Reigning champion Vechita Khesoh will be the torch bearer of the meet during the inaugural function.
