Chakhesang Students' Union felicitates winner of Miss Universe Nagaland 2025 Kelülü Dawhuo

KOHIMA — The Chakhesang Students' Union (CSU) on Saturday felicitated Kelülü Dawhuo, the winner of Miss Universe Nagaland 2025, during a ceremony held at Hotel East Gate in Kohima.


The event celebrated her remarkable achievement and recognised her as a powerful inspiration for the youth and women of the Chakhesang community, according to a press release from the union.


Chaired by CSU general secretary Kuzoto Swuro, the programme began with an invocation prayer said by Rev. Z. David Koza, executive secretary of CCCRC.

In his keynote address, Pfhülo Sara, president of CSU, highlighted the broader significance of Kelülü's success, emphasising cultural pride, personal perseverance, and self-confidence. He described her as a beacon of hope and pride for the entire Chakhesang community.


Speaking at the programme, Kelülü Dawhuo expressed her gratitude for the unwavering support she received throughout her journey, while her mentor, Pewe Tunyi Khamo, paid tribute to her dedication and character, sharing personal insights into her growth and determination.


Brief speeches were also delivered by Lipokzulu Lemtur, general secretary of the Beauty and Aesthetics Society of Nagaland (BASN), and Zhonelü Tunyi, president of the Chakhesang Mothers' Association (CMA). The speakers praised Kelülü's grace, discipline and commitment to advocating for positive change and women's empowerment.


The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Aveto Resüh, president of the Thenyizumi Students' Union.


Report stated that the ceremony was a memorable celebration of excellence, identity and community spirit, reflecting the CSU's dedication to youth and promoting Chakhesang achievements on broader platforms.


It further stated that the presence of Miss Nagaland 2024, Anon Konyak, added glamour to the celebration, along with other dignitaries and well-wishers.
