Dimapur, Oct. 3 (EMN): Chakhesang Mothers’ Association (CMA) will hold its 11th triennial general session on October 9 and 10 at Baptist Theological College (BTC) Square, T Chikri, Pfutsero town, on the theme “Transcending motherhood responsibility.”
Kewezü G Kenye, Member of Parliament (MP), Rajya Sabha, Government of India, and Neiba Kronu, minister of planning and coordination, land revenue, would grace the session as the inaugural guest and valedictory guest respectively.
The association president, Zaposhelü Venuh, stated that Muzivolu T Therie, CMA legal advisor and member secretary of Nagaland state legal service authority, would exhort the gathering during the introductory session, while, Rev. Dr. Yiepetso Wezah, BTC’s principal, and Kekhwengulo Lea, president of Chakhesang Public Organization (CPO) would bring greetings during the two-day session.
The statement also stated that the two-day triennial session highlights would include installation of new office bearers for the tenure 2018-2021, discussion hour, adoption of resolutions, observation of unit activity report, presentation of secretarial reports, presentation of indigenous and western songs, presidential address etc.
It also informed that a sum of INR 150 would be realised from every delegates as registration fee. The association has requested every village unit to send at least 10 delegates along with their own bedroll(s) and respective standard size flags.
CMA has further invited to all village chairperson of women organisations, VDB secretaries, women pastors irrespective of denominations and all tribal frontal organisations to be part of the session. It also directed all delegates to compulsorily wear traditional attire during the session.
