Dimapur, April 24 (EMN): The first men conference of Chakhesang Baptist Church Council (CBCC) was held from April 21-23 at CBCC Mission Centre, T. Chikri, Pfutsero.
About 2000 people from 99 churches from in and around Pfutsero town attended the conference.
The speakers were- Rev. Dr. V. K. Nuh, Rev. Khrutsoi Luruo, Rev. Dr. Vezopa Tetseo, Rev. Dr. Tseibu Rutsa and resources persons were Neichute Doulo, Vekhoneyi Venuh and Khriehuzo Lohe. Apart from discussing on various topics under righteous living, the conference deliberated on clean election. The participants voted and signed clean election pledge card that they would be faithful in the ensuing general election of Nagaland. They also assured that they would support the Clean Election Movement headed by Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) and Chakhesang Clean Election Movement (CCEM) towards a just and better society.
During the conference, the gathering unanimously resolveed to give their best to live a righteous life and to follow the Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) and Chakhesang Clean Election Movement (CCEM) guidelines and give their best to support and work towards clean election. The congregation also tool pledge to commit themselves to prayer in electing God-fearing leaders in the forthcoming State general election and to stand against any political ideology/party that works against and suppress Christians.
Sensing the effect of climate change, the participants also committed themselves to take care of God’s creation, plant trees and preserve flora and fauna.
