DIMAPUR — The Chakhesang Baptist Church Kohima (CBCK) celebrated Father's Day at the church premises on the theme “Father’s greatest gift” on Sunday.
Speaking on the theme, Rev. Dr. Chekroveyi Cho-o, Executive Secretary of the Chakhesang Baptist Church Council (CBCC), challenged the fathers to lay a godly foundation in their children through living examples and intentional instructions.
"Your investment today will be your gift/reward tomorrow," he told the fathers. "If you are the head of the house, then you are the priest of the house," he said, adding, "In the past, the priest was the head of the village. When anything went wrong with the priest, the village could not stand."
Dr. Cho-o called upon the fathers to make the right decisions for a healthy and wealthy family. "Let us inculcate godly character in our children, thereby laying a noble foundation for the upcoming generation," he said.
Later, Rev. Khrotso Mero spoke on the topic “Watchman of the home” at the evening worship service. Senior Pastor of CBCK Rev. Dr. Kevekhalo Lasuh and Dezii Nukhu led the morning and evening worship services, respectively.
