Dimapur, July 31 (EMN): Couples For Christ (CFC) Nagaland organises a ‘Marriage Enrichment Retreat 1’ on July 29 and 30 at Mount Tabor Retreat House, Kohima, with Rev. Fr. Philip Magh, director of Nagaland Catholic Youth Movement (NCYM), as the main celebrant on July 30 for the Holy Eucharist

An update from CFC Nagaland stated that Rev. Fr. Magh offered special blessings to all the couples, who renewed their marriage vows, while Mengukhrietuo Marcus, cluster head and state coordinator of CFC Nagaland, welcomed the couples and led the worship.

It stated that the marriage enrichment retreat, which is a programme of CFC Nagaland, was organised in response to the need for a better understanding and appreciation of God’s plan for marriage and family life. It is a time for the couples to take stock and assess themselves, their relationship, their family life and their role within the context of God’s plan.

It was organised to provide the couple participants with an effective environment of prayer, learning and Christian fellowship, in which they could begin working on their marriage relationship together so that it may be founded more solidly on Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit.

During the retreat, topic on ‘Serving God through Christian marriage’ was shared by Medo-o Mathew, while the topic on ‘The Christian couple as a pastoral team’ was shared by Buni Dominic, topic on ‘The role of a Christian husband’ was shared by Mengukhrietuo Marcus, topic on ‘The role of a Christian wife’ was shared by Veronica, topic on ‘Effective communication in marriage’ was shared by Khriengunuo Catherine, topic on ‘Prayer for healing and forgiveness’ was shared by Mengukhrietuo Marcus, and topic on ‘Building our homes for God’ was shared by Buni Dominic.
