CEO holds video conference with DEOs

Dimapur, Oct. 8 (EMN): Chief Electoral Officer, Nagaland on Monday held a meeting with all the district election officers via video conference.

The meeting was held to discuss issues and review the progress of pre-revision activities in connection with special summary revision of photo electoral rolls wrt Jan.1 , 2022  as the qualifying date.

An update informed that the meeting was attended by officers from CEO’s office and the district election officers in the districts.

V Shashank Shekhar, CEO appreciated the efforts of the district election officers while discharging their official duties. He reminded the officials that the Election Commission is monitoring the progress of various pre-revision and revision activities and exhorted all to complete assigned works within prescribed timelines, it read.

The status of various pre-revision activities such as the status of Garuda App, forms for new voter registration, correction, deletion and transposition, Demographically Similar Entries (DSEs) and logical errors were reviewed and taken up with each district, it informed.

Issues relating to having an accurate electoral roll and Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) were also deliberated.
