Minister for National Highways and Mechanical Engineer, Nuklutoshi met Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways and Shipping, Nitin Gadkari in his office at Transport Bhawan, New Delhi on June 10.
Two important concerns of the state government were highlighted in the meeting, stated a release issued by Kuolie Mere, PRO, Nagaland House, New Delhi. The status of the pending SARDP project in Nagaland was taken up during the meeting. The project has been pending four years without any progress. The Union Minister directed his officials to put up the issue as cabinet note so that some decision could be taken at an early date.Nuklutushi also highlighted the lowering of maintenance budget for state PWD in the year 2015–16 even with the increase of length of highways under State PWD. The Union Minister promised Nuklutoshi that he would visit Nagaland very soon to address the concerns of the State.
