The newly elected executive team of the Central Nagaland Tribes Council held its first meeting to discuss unity and indigenous rights.

DIMAPUR — The newly elected team of the Central Nagaland Tribes Council, headed by its President Hukiye Yepthomi, held its first executive council meeting at Hotel Cedar in Dimapur on May 29.
According to an update, the meeting was attended by Central Nagaland Tribes Council executives and office bearers, along with representatives from Ao Senden, Lotha Hoho, Sümi Hoho, the Central Nagaland Women Association, and the Central Nagaland Students’ Association.
During the meeting, it was resolved that the three tribes would work together for the unity of the people of Nagaland, stand firmly for the rights of the indigenous Nagas, and work towards the protection of Naga rights, development, fraternity, growth, and unity among all communities.
The council also congratulated the tribal hohos of Nagaland on the formation of the Nagaland Tribal Hohos Coordination Committee, comprising the 15 recognised tribes of the state, and expressed hope that the committee would further strengthen unity, cooperation, and the welfare of the indigenous Naga people.
