This short piece is dedicated exclusively to all the ladies to embrace and celebrate their femininity or womanliness with joy and confidence.
Dr. Steve Maraboli, a behavioural scientist, an inspirational speaker and writer popularly known as the “Most Quoted Man Alive” said this:
“There is nothing more rare, nor more beautiful, than a woman being unapologetically herself; comfortable in her perfect imperfection. To me, that is the true essence of beauty.”
For Maraboli, the true essence of beauty is being original i.e., in being you. You don’t have to pretend to be what you’re not because you are beautiful as you are. I think it’s fair for ladies to be well-groomed and well-dressed, maintain healthy diet and well-spoken of. But honestly, you don’t have to be defined by the world on how you should be perceived as “beautiful, gorgeous, attractive, pretty, charming, lovely, etc.”; that you should lose extra weights, put on expensive outfits and apparels, put on more makeups to fit in or sort of that thing “to be the women” men crave after. Because in doing that, you’re objectifying yourselves for customers to purchase you and not value you in the process. So, treasure and value yourself and rejoice for who and what you are. Oprah Winfrey said this, “Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you’ll never, never have enough.”
You are to celebrate your femininity or womanliness every single day and every single moment. Know that you’re special and loved (foremost by God) including men. I believe God has created you to be unique in your own way. The defining characteristics of femininity are easily identifiable: grace, gentleness, empathy, kindness, sensitivity, caring, sweetness, compassion, tolerance and so on and so forth.. The traits and personality that you carry as a female are very precious per se. Not that man is less special but without you, man finds himself completely inadequate and that makes you more priceless and costly.
On describing a virtuous woman in the epilogue, Proverbs 31:25 has to say this: She is clothed in strength (“Hebrew word ‘oz’ primarily this word is attributed to God alone) and honour (Hebrew word ‘Haadaar,’ the glory of nature as it reflects the goodness of God). That in itself is amazing because the inherent character of God is attributed to a virtuous woman. The clothing of strength and honour makes a woman very, very special. A woman who possesses the goodness and glory of God in her life is attractive and lovely no matter what her physical appearance looks like. The presence of God upon her life makes her more valuable and beautiful. To this end, I wish all the ladies to “celebrate your womanliness” and live life to the fullest potential the way that God has made you to be.
