Chief Minister TR Zeliang extended his best wishes to all Naga mothers and thanked them for their contributions to the individual families and the society at large.
The chief minister in a message on the occasion of Mother’s Day said, “This is an occasion when everyone of us must thank and honour our mothers for the pains and sacrifices they have made to make us what we are today.”
“This is a special day to thank mothers for all that she has done for her children – her tender touch, the precious tears she sheds for her child, her worries for the future of the child, her endless love, her concerns and contribution to the bonding of the family,” the chief minister said.Let this Mother’s Day be special in letter and in spirit. And just as all mothers love their children so dearly, let us remember that every one of us has or had a mother who considers/considered us more valuable than anyone else. And in memory and honour of all mothers, let us resolve today to let love, peace and compassion prevail in the society,” the chief minister said.
He also opined that mothers would be most happy if her children treat each other with benevolence, goodwill and altruism. “Let hostility with each other; let animosity with others; let ill-will towards others cease, so that all mothers can rejoice,” the chief minister said.
