CCHE Kohima conducts career talk for students

DIMAPUR — The Capital College of Higher Education (CCHE), Kohima, conducted a career talk on Saturday at Sahitya Sabha Hall, Kohima.

According to a press release issued by the college, Dr. Zokho Venuh, principal of CCHE, stated in his address that the college has produced thousands of graduates since 2008, when the first batch graduated. He claimed that the college has created many responsible and successful citizens and encouraged the students to emulate the alumni.

Kazia Zhimo, front manager, Pantaloons, Nagaon, Assam, told the students in her speech to culturally accept one another with respect and to broaden their mentality. She also dwelled on the prospects of retail marketing.

Meanwhile, Ruopfuzhano Whiso, a model, host, and content creator, spoke about content creation and the fashion industry, encouraging students to develop passion and interpersonal skills.

Journalist Thejoto Nienu encouraged the students in his speech to capitalise on their talents and not be complacent, but to push themselves to their limits with determination.

He asked the students to acquire new age skills and stated that proper education should lead to meaningful employment. He also encouraged them to follow their passion and stressed on the need to master various skills that computers cannot do and be humane and rational to sustain.

On the occasion, the college also felicitated college topper Kuvutoli Swu, as well as distinction holders Zhopilu Huire, Shekaholi Sema, Thsüji Nyuthe, Thejangunuo Leno, Meyieno Kiso, Easter Jeshing, and Bentakum C. Chang.

Later in the day, the college celebrated World Photography Day, with Mejapiyong winning the photography competition and Murheo Khusoh finishing second.
