KOHIMA — A three-day 8th women convention of
the Chakhesang Baptist Church Council (CBCC), which was held from March 7 in at
Kütsapo village on the theme “Be transformed to transform” (Romans 12:2),
concluded on March 9.
The speakers were Rev. Dr. Chekrovei Cho-o, executive
secretary of Chakhesang Baptist Church; Dr. Vekutulii L Veyie, principal of
BTC; andDr. Adela Mero, administrator
of Rainbow Academy Recourses Centre.
The resource persons were Rev. Dr. Vevo Phesao, president of
CBCC; Dr. Sao Tunyi, proprietor of Providence Garden; Alemla Samuel from Life
Ministry Learning Centre and Meripeni Zares, assistant protocol officer.
An update from CBCC stated that the devotion service was led
by Dr. Khrotsolou Wetsah, vice principal of BTC, and Mudovolu Swiiro, associate
professor of BTC.
Dr. Adela Mero, administrator of Rainbow Academy Resource
Centre, preached the Word of God during the Sunday morning worship service.
Speaking on the topic “Be transformed to transform: family,” Dr. Mero reminded
that when one fears God and obey Him, He enables people to become
transformative.
“Change in the family usually begins with a mother, hence
women need to be a catalyst of change and act as an agent of transformation in
the family,” Dr. Mero said.
In order to be an agent of change, she stated that one needs
to be loyal and loving, devoted to family, have courage and trust and be
truthful.
The two licentiates and women missionaries namely Muzipolü Nyekha
and Vetalü Rhakho conducted the Holy Communion and the distribution of
Eucharist elements were assisted by the women pastors.
The women secretary of Nagaland Baptist Church Council
(NBCC), Katoli V Sumi, shared greetings during the service, while the worship
service on Sunday was led by N Vekuto Rhakho, pastor of Kutsapo Baptist Church,
and an invocation prayer was said by Neikuteü Chizo.
The programme witnessed offertory prayer said by Asune
Swüro.
It stated that Tizu area and WCBCC choirs presented message
in songs respectively, while the women secretary of Angami Baptist Church
Council (ABCC), Ruokovinuo Noudi shared greetings and a word of gratitude was
delivered by CBCC women secretary, Neingupeü K Rhakho.
The service concluded with a benediction said by Rev.
Mülüvoyi Nienu, CBCC finance secretary.
