Career guidance session held at Modern College

DIMAPUR — A one-day career guidance session on 'How to join the army' was organised by Modern College, Piphema, in collaboration with the 7th Assam Rifles on Tuesday.

Major Akashdeep Attri from the 7th Assam Rifles was the resource person for the event, according to an update that also mentioned that the programme was organised as part of the 75th Republic Day celebration and consisted of two segments.

In the first segment, Attri highlighted the advantages of joining the army and encouraged the students to consider joining the army as they are of the right age at the moment. He also emphasised the importance of students developing diverse skill sets and excelling in areas other than academics.

In the second segment, the speaker discussed the available courses, various entry points, training periods, defence institutions, physical standards, and other eligibility criteria such as age, qualification, and so on.

The programme was attended by 200 students and faculty members.
