Students of Patkai Christian College (PCC) are seen during a
one-day career and job fair on March 29.
- DIMAPUR — The
Career Guidance and Placement Cell of Patkai Christian College (Autonomous)
organised a one-day career and job fair at NSS Park and conference hall on
March 29.
- An update from the college stated that a total of 23
organisations comprising of educational institutions, career and training
institutes, business establishments were present the fair.
- Around seven recruiting companies including Talent
Acquaintance BPO, Jio, SBI Life, Barbeque Nation, First Meridian Global
Services Private Limited (formerly known as V5 Global Services Pvt. Ltd.) and
ICICI were also present during the fair.
- In the career progression category, 16 institutions namely
Eagle Crest (tourism and hospitality), Imperial IAS Academy (coaching centre),
Arms Incorporation, HCL Technology, Amantya Technology, WITI (Women Industrial
Training Institute), AIDA Don Bosco, MIT (Meghalaya Institute of Technology),
SIHM (State Institute of Hotel Management), Oriental Theological Seminary,
Kaziranga University, CIHSR and ARO (Army Recruitment Office) have also
participated in the event.
- Gideon L Sumi, district employment officer (DEO) of Dimapur,
spoke on the occasion.
- Meanwhile, a regional investor seminary was conducted at the
conference hall for the students and faculties of PCC. Vikas SS, general
manager of SEBI ERO, and Sanjib Kumar Bora, BSE-IPF, were the resource persons.
They spoke on security markets and elaborated the key financial products in the
security market including equities, derivatives and mutual funds.
