Car showroom in Dimapur gutted in fire; property worth nearly 1 cr. destroyed

Dimapur, Sep. 5 (EMN): Properties worth around INR 99.04 lakh was reportedly destroyed in a devastating fire, which broke out at Nilli Nissan Garage at Purana Bazaar in Dimapur, at around 7:50 am on September 5.

An update from the Fire and Emergency Services stated that a quick response team along with three fire tenders were pressed into action after receiving information about inferno and brought the fire under control.

It also informed that the timely intervention of the Fire and Emergency Services saved properties worth INR 2.5 crore and prevented the fire from spreading to the adjoining areas. It took about 40 minutes for the team to bring the fire under control, the statement added. The cause of fire was said to be due to electric short circuit.
