Capital College of Higher Education Kohima held its annual Trifecta Fest with cultural, literary, and musical events.

DIMAPUR — The Capital College of Higher Education in Kohima hosted its annual Trifecta Fest on September 29 and 30 on the theme “Tradition, innovation, legacy”.
According to an update, the first day began with the inaugural session chaired by Kumuni Keppen. It opened with a display of traditional attire, followed by the principal’s Trifecta greetings and the formal declaration of the festivities.
The session featured a folk song competition in which the First Semester students emerged victorious.
The second session highlighted storytelling through the Narrative Competition on the theme “Place stories”. Eighteen students participated, narrating tales rooted in the histories and traditions of their native villages.

Kurhungolu was declared the winner, and Tsachoba secured the runner-up position. The keynote address was delivered by the vice principal, Vevohu Kezo.
The second day was dedicated to music and critical thinking. The Musical Fest, hosted by Meyiepeo, included a choral competition based on the college anthem and a solo competition. The Third Semester won the choral category, while Bumet excelled in the solo event.
The afternoon session featured a debate on the NLTP Act: "Boon or Bane". The session was moderated by alumnus Kazia Zhimo, with the principal serving as critic. The award for Best Speaker was shared by Mutushe and Khumong.
Offstage competitions were also held, including essay writing, short story writing, painting, and photography. The winners were Mongtham (Essay), Kurhungolu (Short Story), Monyem (Painting), and Kumcholiba (Photography). The People’s Choice Award for Photography went to Kunutsulu.
