Kohima, May 7 (EMN): Young Girls Club and SAI-STC, Dimapur (Boys) secured the third place after winning their respective matches of the ongoing CAPF Under-19 Football Talent Hunt Tournament organised by Assam Rifles here at Kohima local ground and IG stadium respectively.
Playing at the IG Stadium (girls), Young Girls Club IG Academy thrashed Christ King Higher Secondary School by a margin of 10-0 in the final encounter to claim the third place.
In the match, Imlimerenla scored four goals, she found the net in 14th, 34th, 37th, and 59th minute and Arhoni also added four goals in 9th, 17th, 21st, and 31st minutes while Tsutsoli scored two goals in 10th and 26th minutes for Young Girls Club, IG Academy.
At the local ground (boys), SAI-STC, Dimapur dismantled Christ King Higher Secondary School by 12-0 to claim the third place in the tournament.
Temsunungsang scored five goals in the process; his goals came in 20th, 38th, 47th, 87th and 90th minutes. Viki M Awomi, Neikedozo Trira, Mutunu Therie, Monton Konyak, Heichihang, Totoka, Huvesu Tetseo contributed a goal each for SAI-STC.
Up next on Monday, State Boys Hostel Nagaland will be playing against State Sports Academy Nagaland in the final of CAPF U-19 Football Talent Hunt Tournament at the local ground.
In the girls’ category, Sweet Poison Club I.G. Academy will be facing Girls Sports Hostel Dimapur in the final match.
