DIMAPUR — A capacity building training on ODF plus component and operation and maintenance under JJM and block level recognition of best performers under PHED, Kohima urban division was held on Friday at the PHED Kohima urban division office.
Jotsoma village WATSAN chairman Vithoto Nakhro was awarded the best WATSAN chairman while Chede Model village received the best performing village under Kohima block, an update stated.
While giving away the certificates and cash awards, executive engineer, PHED Kohima urban division, Neilhoukholie Chielie encouraged the villagers to keep up with the good practices and put in their best efforts, for the progress and development of their respective villages.
Tayongzulu, JE, PHED, Kohima urban division, spoke on good sanitary practices, while Ashale Seb, district coordinator, PHED, deliberated on ODF plus components.
Vibou Seyie, IEC and WASH Consultant, PHED Kohima urban division, shared on grey water management and plastic waste and Keneisevi Meyase, SDO II, PHED, spoke on operation and maintenance under JJM.
The capacity building training was organised by DWSM, PHED, Kohima urban division and sponsored by WSSO, PHED, Nagaland. The programme was chaired by Ahito Awomi, SDO I, PHED, Kohima urban division.
