District Hospital being the only hospital in Longleng despite of deficit infrastructural facilities, inadequate medical personnel, lacks of basic diagnostic labs the medical authority try to provide the desire services with the limited resources available to them.
People of Longleng and surrounding villagers seek this hospital for emergency health care services. Some people comes for outpatient treatment and some admitted in to hospital if it’s not complicated and refer otherwise. On a daily basis a number of patients are admitted.
But it’s regretted that there’s no single canteen or restaurant in the hospital vicinity. The family members or relatives of patients supply tea, meal and other food items every now and then from home. It needs additional helper. It consumes time. It consumes fuel for those vehicle users in bringing those things. For those who comes from villages it’s more troublesome.
There are many local unemployed youth who can take up startup venture in opening restaurant in hospital. They should know the inpatients needy and provide basic services like tea drinks, food items for immediate consumption and in return they will generate income.
If the individual cannot do this the hospital authority may be provided a space for accommodation in inviting a bid for opening canteen in the hospital. In such a way we can create an opportunity for people to help the people.
