7th ROP in Nagaland
Dimapur, Dec. 7: The Confederation of All Nagaland State Services Employees' Association (CANSSEA) has informed that it had held separate meetings with chief minister, TR Zeliang and chief secretary, Pankaj Kumar in November to pitch for “timely implementation” of the 7th ROP in Nagaland.
A press release on Wednesday stated that various state services associations led by CANSSEA met the chief secretary on November 17, and submitted the fourth representation asking for “timely implementation” of the 7th ROP. The next day, on November 18, they met the chief minister “on the same matter”, according to the press release.
“Although specific timeline could not be fixed, the chief minister assured for implementation of the ROP. After threadbare discussion at length, the chief minister directed the Finance department to start working out the modalities. “It was also decided that the State Services Association shall write at an appropriate time to the government of India through the state government to provide financial assistance to the state government for the timely implementation of the ROP.”
It appealed all Heads of Departments to “seriously carry out the manpower rationalization exercise”, and also the employees to “work with utmost sincerity and dedication towards efficient delivery of service to the people of the state.”
