CANSSEA delegates attended the AISGEF meeting in Srinagar and discussed 8th Central Pay Commission, CMHIS, and pension schemes.
DIMAPUR — A team from the Confederation of All Nagaland State Services Employees Association (CANSSEA), led by its President Zubemo Lotha Tsanglao, attended the All India State Government Employees Federation (AISGEF) National Executive Council (NEC) meeting held in Srinagar on September 12 and 13.
According to a press release, Tsanglao presented the state activities report and highlighted key matters concerning the association.
He conveyed CANSSEA’s support to AISGEF for taking up the matter of pay revision with the 8th Central Pay Commission on priority, with a minimum fitment factor of 3.25 or higher as considered appropriate so that all states benefit from the revision of pay.
He also highlighted CANSSEA’s engagement, alongside sister associations, with the state government for streamlining Indian Administrative Service (IAS) induction for non-state civil services on the basis of meritocracy.
Other points raised included the implementation of the Chief Minister Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS), a comprehensive health insurance scheme of the state government ensuring cashless treatment for all employees and pensioners in hospitals both within and outside the state.

CANSSEA also reiterated its continued support for reverting from the New Pension Scheme to the Old Pension Scheme.
Furthermore, during the NEC meeting, CANSSEA expressed deep appreciation to the state government for the timely payment of Dearness Allowance to its employees.
Important issues, proposals, and demands from various states concerning the welfare of employees were deliberated during the meeting.
Another highlight was the decision to conduct a national rally at Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi on December 12. Delegates from various states attended the two-day national meeting.
