Can Youth launches youth ambassador project t-shirt

DIMAPUR — Marking an important milestone in its mission to empower young people, Can Youth officially launched the youth ambassador project t-shirt “I CAN” in Thahekhu village, Dimapur, on Friday.
The programme was chaired by its youth facilitator, Watinaro Pongener, while an invocation prayer was said by Atheli G Awomi, intern from NEISSR.
An update from Can Youth stated that the T-shirt was formally unveiled by Kuhoi Yepthomi (Kevin), advisor of Can Youth and VDB secretary of Thahekhu village.
Speaking at the event, Jenpu Rhakho Rongmei, founder and chief functionary of Can Youth, highlighted the theme “I CAN” and introduced the youth ambassador project, which aims to engage 100 youth across Chümoukedima, Niuland and Dimapur.

He emphasised that the project focuses on promoting social awareness, strengthening youth leadership and building a network of committed young change-makers.
In his address, Kuhoi Yepthomi encouraged the youth to remain confident, uphold strong values and expand the initiative to reach more districts in the future.
The programme concluded with a benediction said by its youth facilitator, Livino Sumi.
It stated that the initiative was supported by the National Clean Air Programme (NCAP); Zasivikho Zakiesato, president of DUCCF; Hinoto P Aomi, president of DNSU;
It mentioned that the launch event marked a significant step toward empowering youth to take active roles in community development and social transformation.
Can Youth called upon young people to step forward, take initiative and lead the way toward a more empowered and transformed society through the “I CAN” youth ambassador project.
