Dimapur, June 18 (EMN): CAN Youth has its project SPATIAL (Students, Parents And Teachers Involvement In Authentic Learning)- life skill programme for government schools- supported by Godrej Salon-I at Government High School, Dhansiripar, with Kumar Naben, Joint Secretary to the Government of Nagaland, as special guest on June 17.
Delivering keynote address, Jenpu Rongmei, chief functionary of CAN Youth, highlighted about the journey of CAN Youth. He also shared the aim and objective of SPATIAL which focuses on smart education rather than quality education. He also stressed on the need to impart life skill to students in government schools in order to build competency through in depth understanding of self for their better career and positive life.
In short speech, Sedemmongla, School Headmistress, shared on the 50 years anniversary of the school which will be celebrated this year. She thank the CAN Youth in identifying its school to conduct life skill programme for six months duration.
While sharing on the need to focus on discovering self through life skill, Sedemmongla urged CAN Youth to help the students and encouraged students through life skill. She said the students were lucky to get SPATIAL training which will not only help them acquire life skills but also add value in their day-to-day life.
Special suest, Kumar Naben, expressed happiness to learn that Government High School, Dhansiripar, will be celebrating 50th anniversary. He encouraged the students to participate in all the activities and cooperate with the facilitators and become professional in their own chosen field. He further assured all possible assistance towards the project SPATIAL.
The programme was chaired by Sedelo T Vadeo, Core Team Member, while the invocation was said by Pastor Nejora Thausen, Dimasa Baptist Church, Doyapur. The welcome address was said by Sentimongla Ozukum, Team Member, Project SPATIAL, and the vote of thanks was delivered by Grace Chishi, Team Member Project SPACIAL.
