Dimapur, May 24 (EMN): State chief electoral officer (CEO), Abhijit Sinha has informed that campaigning for the by-election to Lok Sabha from Nagaland parliamentary constituency should come to an end from 4 pm on May 26.
In this regards, the CEO has directed all district election administrations and police to ensure all the political functionaries, who have come from outside the constituency for campaigning and who are not voter of the constituency, to leave the constituency immediately after the campaign period is over.
However, the notification stated that restriction may not be insisted upon the office bearers of the political party who are in-charge of the state. It stated that such office bearers of the political party should declare his place of stay in the state headquarters adding his movement during the period in question should remain confined normally between his party office and place of his stay.
