
DIMAPUR — The Department of Management Studies, C-Edge College, Chümoukedima, commemorated World Entrepreneurs Day 2024 on the theme ‘Celebrating groundbreakers who transform ideas into reality’ at the college’s GK Auditorium on August 21.
According to an update from the college, the programme was held with the objective to celebrate and acknowledge entrepreneurs while fostering an innovative and entrepreneurial mindset among the students.
Wapanginla Ao, HoD and Dean of Management Studies, C-Edge College, set the tone for the day by emphasising the significance of the day and the event.

This was followed by a panel discussion with the Kaki Marketing team which was moderated by Thejasikho Vakha of BBA 5th semester. The team led by managing director, Kakivi Chishi, engaged in an enthralling conversation focusing on current business trends and strategies.
“One of the distinctive features of the event was the official statement of the establishment of Entrepreneurship Development Centre (EDC) at C-Edge College, in collaboration with Educentre Business School and Department of Industries and Commerce, Government of Nagaland,” it stated.
Incale Iswarang, the EDC coordinator and social media manager of Educentre, gave a brief introduction about EDC and its processes.
Later in the programme, Shiva Prasad Dey, assistant professor from the Department of Management Studies, highlighted the successful conclusion of the business venture competition - The Entrepreneur which had been ongoing during the summer break.
Team Hains Enterprise comprising of HitoAssumi, Akivipu, Sneha, Ningthuiliu and Imnamongla from BBA first semester were declared winners of The Entrepreneur 2024.
The award was presided over by Dr. Chubatola Aier, principal of C-Edge College where Laurel Merit Award for students and departments, Balakrishnan Ramanathan Award for EVS Topper and Viwhesieno (Tsuno) Award for Girls Topper were given out.
The event concluded with Seema Debnath, assistant professor from the Department of Management Studies, proposing the vote of thanks.
Earlier, the programme commenced with an invocation by Chaam from BBA third semester and a member of the college EU.
