Dimapur, March 25 (EMN): The 3rd Commencement Day for the Class of 2017 of C-Edge College, Dimapur, was held on March 24 at Manen Hall in which Peter John Banks, Energy & Environmental Engineer from Scotland, was the commencement speaker.
Addressing the gathering, the speaker spoke about the effect of social media in today’s world and encouraged the students to make wise use of the facility.
Earlier in the programme, Ms Lipokmarla Imchen, Assistant Professor, serenaded the procession of the Class of 2017, while Er. Moa Aier, President of the college, delivered the opening address and administered pledge of Allegiance with the graduating students. Invocation was said by Assistant Professor Meyatemsu.
The College Principal Dr. Chubatoal Aier announced winners of the Star Attendance Award, Laurel Award and the Ramanathan Award.
The student representative speaker for this year was Toki Swu from IV Semester BBA and Ms. Akumbenla Jamir from VI Semester BA.
Reading of the student’s name was presided over by Academic Dean Ms Daisy Shitio. The compere of the event was Ms Lino Swu, II Semester BA. The vote of thanks and closing remarks was said by Ms. Wapangla Imchen, Commencement Convenor.
