
DIMAPUR — The Bharat Vikas Parishad (BVP) held an awareness programme on menstrual hygiene to commemorate World Menstrual Hygiene Day on May 28 at Mount Mary Hr. Sec. School, Chümoukedima.
According to a press release, it was held under the leadership of its president, Rabinderjit S Panesar, vice president (Mahila Sahbhagita), Pooja Das Paul, and regional secretary of BVP NE Zone, Falguni Sharma.
Dr. Meyisenla Angh, the resource person, highlighted the significance of World Menstrual Hygiene Day, discussed various diseases, and provided insights into precautionary measures.
Sanitary napkins, hand wash pouches, and chocolates were distributed to attendees during the programme, which was sponsored by Madan Sharma & Co. and Falguni Enterprise.
A total of 100 students were present at the event. Sharma, who also addressed the gathering, spoke about the mission, ethics, and principles of BVP.
