BVP conducts anti-drug, anemia awareness programme

DIMAPUR — The Bharat Vikas Parishad (BVP) state unit, in association with Mount Mary Higher Secondary School, Chümoukedima, held an anti-drugs awareness along with an anaemia awareness and testing programme and medical camp on September 7 at the school premises.

The programme, which served a total of 400 beneficiaries, was attended by Chuba Ao, National Vice President of the BJP, as the special guest, according to a press release.

The initiative was spearheaded by Falguni Sharma, regional secretary (Mahila Sahbhagita), BVP NE. The medical camp was conducted under the leadership of Dr. Zevi Shuya and Dr. Imlikokla, while the anti-drug awareness was led by Alvina Mech, a member of Brahma Kumari and software engineer.

The camp was also attended by Bishnu Bhattacharjee, jt. regional general secretary BVP NE, and state team officials, including vice president Pooja Das Paul and general secretary Arijit Sharma.

The BVP stated that it will conduct similar programmes in the future.
