Dimapur Police rescue abducted businessman within hours; five, including two NSCN (Wangtin) members, arrested in swift operation.

DIMAPUR — Dimapur Police on Friday, October 24, rescued a local fish wholesaler who was abducted from his residence earlier in the day and arrested five persons allegedly involved in the crime.
A press release on Saturday informed that the incident occurred at around 2.35 pm when three unidentified miscreants abducted the businessman from his home.
Acting swiftly, police launched a search operation, leading to the rescue of the victim from Dubagaon area.
Five persons were apprehended during the operation, and the vehicle used in the crime was seized.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Antu Mech (30) and Nagato Sumi (37), both residents of Padumpukhuri and alleged to be active members of the NSCN (led by Wangtin) faction, serving as Tatar and Rajapeyu, respectively.
The three other accused have been named as David Chishi (40) of Padumpukhuri, Amento Swu (40) of Diphupar A, and Ruksana Begum (28) of Neisato Colony, Khermahal.
A case has been registered at East Police Station, and an investigation is underway.
