Dimapur, May 30 (EMN): In the backdrop of Dimapur blast on May 29, four organisations comprising of Nagaland Medicine Dealers’ Association (NMDA), Dimapur Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI), Business Association of Nagas (BAN) and East Dimapur Business Association (EDBA) on Tuesday submitted a joint memorandum to the Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, seeking safety of the business community.
In the memorandum, the four bodies have urged upon the police to apprehend the culprits at the earliest and book them under appropriate sections of the law.
They have also appealed for more deployment of security forces for the safety of business community as well as the public.
It was learnt that the Commissioner of Police had agreed to deploy more forces. The business bodies also appealed the law enforcing agencies to be more vigil.
Organisations condemn May 29 Dimapur blast
Naga Hoho: Naga Hoho has strongly condemned the incident where an IED was set off at the Ideal Pharmacy in Dimapur on May 29 in which one person was killed and injuring four other persons.
The Naha Hoho press release stated that such heinous act was unacceptable in any society especially when the Naga society is striving to achieve a lasting peace. Naga Hoho offered its deepest condolence to the bereaved family and wished a speedy recovery to those injured.
BJP: Nagaland State BJP has vehemently condemned the barbaric and evil act of hurling bombs in the heart of Dimapur on May 29 in which one person was killed and injuring four others. BJP expressed shock that such heinous crimes could happen in a civilian area shaking the confidence of the citizens. The State BJP president Visasolie Lhoungu and party members have expressed grave concern about the law and order situation and have demanded that the perpetrators of such evil acts should not be spared but be brought justice at the earliest. Meanwhile, the State BJP has condoled the loss of a precious life and wished speedy recovery to those injured in the incident.
DDGBA: Dimapur District GBs Association (DDGBA), while condemning the May 29 blast in Dimapur, said such unruly act, trying to disrupt the peaceful environment at this juncture, deserved the highest form of condemnation. The Association president, Tokuho Niho and the general secretary Kenith Tsopoe have requested the law enforcing agencies to investigate the matter in a serious manner and book the culprits at the earliest so as to avoid fear psychosis among the public and to restore more confident on the administration.
CNTC: Central Nagaland Tribes Council (CNTC) has condemned the attack on a pharmacy by some unidentified miscreants on the night of May 29 in the heart of Dimapur town. CNTC has urged the law enforcing agencies not to spare any effort and leave no stone unturned to arrest those perpetrators responsible for the abominable act where one person was killed besides injuring others. CNTC press release stated that it would not remain ‘mute spectators when such things are happening right before our eyes in our own homes.’
Stating that the people had enough of these despicable acts from some unwanted elements trying to keep the whole society at ransom, CNTC has warned of punitive punishment against the perpetrators. Meanwhile, CNTC has urged the security agencies to apprehend those culprits responsible for the monstrous act and award a befitting punishment. CNTC further conveyed condolence to the bereaved family and wished a speedy recovery to the injured victims.
Tenyimi Students’ Union Dimapur (TSUD) has strongly condemned the Dimapur blast on May 29. TSUD president, Azo Wetsah and the general secretary, A Shyerhunlo Lorin have termed the act “inhumanly” and urged the district administration to investigate the case in a serious manner. TSUD further wished speedy recovery to the injured persons.
Dimasa Public Organisation Nagaland (DPON) has termed the Dimapur blast on May 29 as a heinous crime against public disrupting the peace in the land. DPON publicity secretary Amon Difoesa has appealed the law implementing agency to ensure safety and security of the denizens.
Dimapur District Citizens’ Forum (DDCF) has vehemently condemned the bomb blast at Ideal Pharmacy on May 29 in which one person was killed and four persons injured. DDCF has appealed to the law enforcing agencies and the administration to ensure safety and security of the law abiding citizens of Dimapur. DDCF further appealed to all citizens to maintain peace and harmony remain vigil to ensure safety to the life of the citizens.
NPF Dimapur Divisions has vehemently condemned the cowardly act of hurling bomb inside M/S Ideal Chemist at Nyamo Lotha Road, Dimapur, killing one person and injuring four persons on Monday night by unidentified person.
"Such heinous crimes against the peace loving people will not be tolerated," stated the division general secretary Itokhu Chophi and the vice president H Thong. It further appealed to law enforcement agencies to seriously investigate and book the culprits at the earliest.
