DIMAPUR — The Business Association of Nagas (BAN), in collaboration with the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI), held a comprehensive capacity building programme on Friday, with the objective of enhancing financial literacy and strengthening awareness of MSME-oriented schemes and credit facilities.
In a press release, the association stated that the session provided an in-depth overview of SIDBI’s direct lending products, including EXPRESS, SPEED, ARISE, and STHAPAN, offering financial assistance ranging from INR 50,000 to INR 50 crore for expansion, modernisation, working capital requirements, and greenfield projects.
Special emphasis was laid on the PRAYAAS scheme for informal micro enterprises, Green Finance initiatives, GST Sahay (invoice-based financing), and thematic products designed to support women, SC/ST, and export-oriented entrepreneurs.

The interactive session, facilitated by BAN members, sensitised participants on the significance of financial preparedness, structured business planning, and procedural requirements for availing institutional credit.
Entrepreneurs were guided on eligibility norms, digital loan application processes, and prudent financial management practices.
Around 46 members attended the programme and actively participated in the deliberations, seeking clarifica.ons and gaining practical insights into accessing formal financial support.
“BAN reaffirmed its commitment to fostering entrepreneurial growth through sustained awareness and capacity-building initiatives and encouraged members to leverage SIDBI’s schemes for long term and sustainable business development,” the release stated.
