
A bus, which was on its way from Dimapur to Satakha in Zunheboto district with 32 passengers onboard, met with an accident at Keyake on Saturday morning.
Kohima Police told Eastern Mirror that the incident took place at around 10:45 am on Saturday when the bus went off the road and rolled down about 85 feet at Keyake near Seikhazou in Kohima.
It was informed that the bus hit a stationary local taxi with three passengers in it.
The bus driver was said to be absconding.
Police said 27 persons were injured in the accident, and four of them were admitted in the ICU but in stable condition.
Sources informed this newspaper that the injured persons were admitted to Oking Hospital and Naga Hospital Authority Kohima (NHAK) for treatment.
It further informed that the passengers were on their way to their respective villages to cast their votes in the ensuing 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) election on February 27. Kohima, Feb. 25 (EMN)
