Dimapur, Dec. 1 (EMN): In pursuance to the call given by the All Union and Association of BSNL (AUAB), state unit of AUAB, NE-II telecom circle, Dimapur, has announced to go on an indefinite strike from Dec. 3.
According to the unit convenor Sukhai Sema, the indefinite strike was to demand fulfilment of assurances made by the union minister of state for Communication. The demands included implementation of 3rd pay revision with 15% fitment, allotment of 4G spectrum to BSNL, pension revision for the BSNL pensioner with effect from Jan. 1, 2017, payment of pension contribution by BSNL as government rules and settlement of the left out issues of 2nd pay revision committee.
Meanwhile, AUAB NE-II telecom circle, Dimapur, has expressed regret to its customers for the inconveniences that might arise out of the proposed strike.
