Brotherhood, Blue Star claim victory

EMN Dimapur, April 17 In the first match of the ongoing 1st Along Memorial T-20 Cricket Running Trophy at NCA Ground, Sovima, Brotherhood of Kohima defeated the Extreme Cricket Club of Dimapur by 9 Wickets. Extreme CC after winning the toss opted to bat first set up a target of 94 runs losing 8 wickets, which the Brotherhood chased it down losing only 1 wicket. Inito scored 39 and Khriesamhalie scored 29 for Brotherhood. Khriesamhalie was declared man of the match for scoring 29 runs and taking 1 wicket. The second match saw tight and thrilling encounter between Kohima Hornbill and the Blue Star where in which the Kohima Hornbills after winning the toss opted to bat first. However, the Kohima Hornbills were bundled out at 105. Kebuding and Paul scored 27 and 24 runs respectively for their team taking the total to a respectable 105 in the allotted 20 overs. Micheal Longkumer of Blue Star claimed 6 wickets giving away only 5 runs in the allotted 4 overs. Blue Star chased down the target losing 6 wickets with Wahidand and Imliwati top scoring for their team with 38 and 28 runs respectively. The match patron for the day’s matches was H.
