Dimapur, Feb. 10 (EMN): The Dimapur district administration on Feb. 9 held a meeting with officials of the Public Works Department (PWD) to discuss the status of construction of three bridges currently in progress in Dimapur.
A DIPR report on Feb. 10 informed that the deputy commissioner has instructed that the department officials “make all efforts for making alternative arrangements” in the event of the bridges being not completed before the onset of monsoon.
“EE PWD (R&B) briefed the house about the status of the 3 bridges under construction at Dimapur which are (a) construction of RCC girder bridge over Dhansiri river at Nagarjan Dimapur (b) construction of RCC girder bridge over Chathe Diphupar’ B’ behind Referral Hospital (c) construction of RCC girder bridge over Bailijan before Vihokhu village. The engineer informed that works are being carried out on 24×7 basis,” the DIPR report stated.
“The house also agreed to give ROW for improvement of city portion of Dimapur (106.9km) to Patkai bridge (124.20km) to EE PWD (NH) Dimapur,” it stated.
