DIMAPUR — The Yung Aung-led NSCN (K) on Thursday claimed to have killed three Assam Rifles personnel in an attack along Namgoi–Pangsau road near the Indo-Myanmar border.
In a statement, the outfit claimed that its “Naga Army tactical unit” carried out the attack around 5.30 pm, targeting a construction team engaged in fencing work along the border.
The group termed the ongoing fencing along the border as “illegal” and accused the government of India of proceeding with construction despite opposition from Nagas on both sides of the border.
It further warned that such actions would escalate tensions, asserting that the Naga people would continue to oppose the project.
