Dimapur, July 23 (EMN): The vice chancellor of Nagaland University, Prof. Pardeshi Lal, has released a book titled “A Connect: Stories from the Tribal Hills” on June 19 at Lumami. The book was written by Dr. Anthony V Richa.
According to a press release issued by the university on Monday, the author revealed that the book was a result of ‘three years of labour involving patient listening to elders and interactions with intellectuals.’ The book carries nine stories attempting to connect the past with the present and then the future.
Prof. Lal appreciated the author’s creativity and concern for his society, saying that the sources of connecting the dots of evolutionary history of any society are the language/dialect and the folk tales.
Besides this book, the Dr. Richa has published a collection of poems called “Awakened Lines: A Collection of Poems.” Currently, he is serving as the deputy registrar at Nagaland University. Previously, he had served as lecturer and principal of Model Christian College, the press release informed.
