DIMAPUR — An unidentified male, approximately
30 years old, was found dead, hanging from a tree in a jungle at Singphan
Wildlife Sanctuary, in a decomposed state, under Naginimora Police Station, Mon
district, on January 26.
According to an update from the police, following the
recovery, an inquest was conducted in the presence of the EAC Naginimora and
other witnesses.
Further, the body was shifted to the District Hospital Mon
and placed in the morgue for a post-mortem examination and further

The deceased was of medium build, with an approximate height
of 5 feet. He had black hair and was wearing olive green trousers, a green
t-shirt, and a blue jacket.
His footwear consisted of jungle boots.
The deceased body will be kept at the district hospital
morgue for a period of 72 hours, and if no claimants appear, the body will be
disposed of accordingly.
It was stated that no foul play is suspected at this time,
and no FIR or missing person report has been received from the surrounding
areas so far. A UD case has been registered at Naginimora Police Station, Mon,
and an investigation has been initiated.
