KOHIMA— The grand finale of 2nd annual singing competition organised by Bright Morning Star Children Home (BMSCH) in Kohima was held on June 21 coinciding with World Music Day.
In the senior category, the first prize was won by Akhonuo Pfüsenuo, while Rüduolhounuo and Haühyangyola won the second and third prizes respectively. The two consolations winners were Nyimangmongsen and Kenrungle.
In the junior category, Chusika Pfithu won the first prize, while Ngomi Fasha and Dolengsangla won the second and third prizes respectively. Consolation prizes were awarded to Maria and Pirasu.
[bsa_pro_ad_space id=1]The first prize winners were awarded with cash of INR 10, 000, INR 5000 for second winners and INR 3000 for third winners with certificates and gift hamper sponsored by Soren Kikon, Naro Mepfuo, Apele T Wotsa, Inoto Arkha and Akshay Joshi.
The judges of the competition were Abi Angami, founder and president of Ideal-IW Charitable Society, and Pezet Newme, music teacher and singer.
The prizes were given away by Alenuo, superintendent of Bright Morning Star Children Home, Kohima. She encouraged the children to keep singing and glorify God through their voices.
She also thanked the sponsors and those that have been supporting the charitable society since its inception.
“Music brings people together and through music, BMSCH got the privilege to connect with some amazing people worldwide,” she said and added that “We should continue to sing, celebrate and inspire people.”
